The shoes arrived with a few spots on them - two near toe of the shoe and one thin but rather long gray scuff mark on the heel. It's not so bad that it's noticeable from far away, but...seriously? I mean, I have a pair of boots in the same color/material that I wore all winter that look less worn than these. And I live in NYC and walk everywhere.

Anyway, since I couldn't find the shoes in this color anywhere else online I decided to just take them to my usual shoe guy and see what he could do. He worked on the spots and gave them a good all-over cleaning, but he wasn't able to remove or from what I can tell even make a dent on any of the spots. I was starting to worry that I'd been sold a used pair of shoes, and I'm still not sure about the scuff on the heel, but he said the spots on the toe were definitely created during the manufacturing process. Probably some sort of glue.

Otherwise the shoes are a really sexy cut. I've tried on several d'orsay style pumps and these are definitely the ones with the best cut (good height, not too much toe cleavage). That said, they're not the highest quality shoe. The fit seems to be correct but something about it still makes it uncomfortable and the material on the outside toe of the shoe bunches up a little. I may still wear these, but not anywhere where I have to walk or stand for any period of time.
