First off, I've had VERY LITTLE LUCK finding a boot that is truly waterproof. Gore-tex is NOT, no matter what people say. I returned TWO pairs of Gore-tex lined boots that both leaked after very little time. I work outside in all weather and nearly all of my free time is spent outside as well. I need a boot that is waterproof, comfortable, keeps me warm. Bogs are waterproof, thank goodness. I'm so tired of having wet feet by the end of the day. They are very comfortable, slip right on, nice. HOWEVER, these shoes are claimed to be comfort rated to below zero. NOPE. I was out working today, it was a miserable, rainy, raw day. Temps were in the low to mid 40s. My feet were COLD. Bummer. I had to put another pair of socks over my other ones and they were still a bit cold. The strange part is, when I'm inside they feel extremely warm, almost too warm. The cold seems to enter near the toe where all the neoprene/nylon or whatever is. This is why they seem to be of limited use. I can't wear them outside when it's warm really and can't wear them when it's cold. We're not even in the real winter temps yet! I guess they'd be good for rainy cool days or walking through wet areas and streams during hiking trips. I should also mention that I'm a vegan and do not wear leather, so my choices are exceptionally limited to find a waterproof, warm boot.
