It took two (2) replacement pairs of boots and the better part of a month passed from my initial order to final satisfaction, but these boots are really quite nice. Whether it was worth the all the time and hassle to get these boots I'll leave for you, the reader, to decide.

The first pair of boots I was sent had a nasty smear the color of the inside of a dried-out dirty coffee cup on the front of one of the boots. I called the Louisiana-based distributor directly and two weeks (!) later a replacement pair arrived. These were more defective than the original pair. See the photos I've uploaded in the 'customer images' section for this product and ask yourself if you'd be happy waiting two weeks for this.

More phone calls, more apologies and five days later, the third pair arrived. They were perfect.

I bought these boots because they were not made in China. Alas, even the French (and their American distributor) have serious problems with quality control. While these boots --when not defective-- are really quite nice, I could have done without the two trips to FedEx, the calls and emails to Lipsey's (the distributor), and above all, the waiting. Hello, Lipsey's? It's 2011: people don't want to wait a month before finally getting what they ordered.
