The leather is very nice and the slipper appears well made; still I was disappointed in the manufacturer that they are made in China. B/c I wear a half-size and ordered up, there's plenty of room for thick socks. Contrary to the manufacturer's description (another disappointment), the shearling lining goes from the top down, but stops at the top of the ankle. The foot section of the slipper appears to be a thinner, man-made lining--not shearling. The opening shaft is so large that there's no need to use the button closures. Very comfortable around the house and fine to run outside.
